Most Powerful Tool For Successful Development

What is most powerful tool your child needs for her successful development? It is language, of course Or, let us be more specific and say ‘words’ it is words that let us think, create ideas, and reason. How many words one has at one’s commands decides the level of one’s reasoning. A rich vocabulary leads to high levels of reasoning and creativity, and skill in communication.

It is never too early for a child to start picking up languages skills. The basic s of language are acquired largely through meaningful interaction between the child and adults. Keep talking to her and take time to tell her stories, and recite rhymes.

Tell her what is going on when something is happening. When you observe something of interest-whether it’s a dog , a flower, or a butterfly-talk to your child about what you see. The more you link ideas together, the more your child will learn.

Reading out stories is another fruitful way to develop language skills. Another tip would be to talk about what you are doing. “I am going to make breakfast now. What shall we have today?” “ Come on; watch me scrape some carrots for dinner!” such conversations can be very effective, because the child can actually associate words with seeing their meanings in action.

Don’t make a fuss if your child makes mistakes while she talks. It is not a sin, after all, if a little one says, “I goed to temple today! ”you could correct her indirectly by saying, “oh you WENT to the temple? Very good!”

Nursery rhymes, action songs, word games etc. are all effective tools to develop a child’s language skills. Let your child’s speak her way to success!

How To Prevent Reading Laziness.

It is proven fact that in the first reading, some may be able to understand moderately, a few may not be able understand anything, which completely depends on the readers strength of the language used to communicate the subject. Hence, to understand the subject clearly one must repeatedly read the lessons few times in an extensive manner then followed by some intensive reading. So, if one is lazy to read the lessons it is highly impossible to do well in academics.

First of all, one should understand that learning is a slow process that requires lot of patience. The reason to underline this statement is that many students think they have the self-belief to do last minute single reading and get through the subject. Getting through the subject may not be a problem, but scoring high marks according to the potential one possesses is much needed of a student.

Hence, studying well requires both extensive and intensive reading. As a result, the time needed to read is more than what most students think, so they need to plan their studying hours accordingly.
Although, a student possesses good understanding and intelligence, but is continuously found to do poor in academics. Reason for such poor performance is the reluctance to read the subject repetitively.

Another think to highlight here is that to read one must need the patience to quietly sit in a place and carry out the reading without getting distracted. As a result, the students need to inculcate these two important traits during their school days- first, the patience to sit and read, then to develop the reading skill with understanding.

Except for a few, sitting quietly in a place is one habit that is very difficult to master. But, it is highly essential for life as it is directly related to a pattern of self-discipline. If one has the ability to control his mind, it would be easy for him to sit in a place with getting much disturbed.

Next, reading with understanding is another skill that requires constant practice. Starting from scratch, everyone may not have the ability to understand a full sentence at a shot. First knowing the meaning a single word may be a great achievement and then slowly understanding few related words would be the next success of understanding. In case there are too many difficult words it is highly important to understand the meaning of each word to proceed to the next phase of understanding, which may not be possible without the use of a dictionary to find the meaning. From there, it is important to take-off to the next phase of understanding the entire sentence without much difficulty.

This could be achieved only through repeated reading and searching the meaning of hard words in the dictionary. Slowly, it is essential to put every meaning together to get the substance of the sentence and then relate it with the subject of topic. Therefore, do not feel sluggish to carry out repeated reading that could actually help to do better in academics.

Tips And Checklist For Preschoolers

A baby isn’t born with a fully developed brain. As it develops, its neurons make up to 15000complex connections with each other. This wiring of pathways readies the brain for all future tasks, and is most vigorous in the first six years of life. Pathways used often are strengthened; those not used gradually aliminated.this’use it or lose it’ principle of brain development is the key argument for preschools, as formal schooling begins only at age four or so.

Choosing a preschool for your child can be a tough decision! Friends and neighbors can be a good source of information, but it's important to do your own research too. Every child is different, and what works for one may not work for another. This is particularly true if you have a preschooler with special learning or behavior needs. The following checklist can help you get a head start on finding the right setting for your preschooler.

Preschool provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to make new friends, socialize, and learn from an adult. Starting preschool is an exciting (and sometimes nervous!) time for little ones and parents.

Here are the Preschool Tips that help you and your child :
  • Take advantage of opportunities to get to know your child’s teacher and his classroom before the first day of preschool.
  • If they’re offered, attend the orientation meeting, the Open House, or the Welcome Back Picnic.
  • Use those times to meet your child’s classmates and families. It might also be helpful to set up a playdate with a child or two from your child’s new class.
  • In the weeks before preschool starts, share your excitement about school with your child.
  • Focus on the fun things he’ll learn during the year, and all the different things he’ll get to do. If possible, visit the playground at preschool. If you’re excited, your child will be too!
  • Clear away a special area in your house for your child’s bookbag and jacket. Establish a routine that puts your child in charge of clearing out and hanging up the backpack each day. This will make the morning rush a little less hectic.
  • Find some quiet time at the end of each day to share two or three books. Ask your local librarian to share books about school feelings and the first day.
  • Take a few minutes to talk about her feelings and her day at school. You’ll both sleep better!

Preschool checklist: ten must have :
  • Teacher child ratio 1: 20
  • children or less per room
  • Adequate ventilation, natural light and space: ideally a garden with swings and a sand pit.
  • Proximately to home so the child needn't travel long distance and can be easily picked up if unwell.
  • Trained teachers who are not just competent but loving too.
  • Low teacher’s turnover, so your child is in experienced hands.
  • Clean and hygienic environment
  • Direct teacher parent communication with regular feedback
  • Books, toys, aids actually used by children, not just displayed
  • Completion free environment where children aren’t pressured or compared with others.

Help To Develop Children Memory Skills

A good memory is a vital building block for success. And we can do a lot to develop this faculty in a child, right from a young age.

Memory is the ability to store and recall information in your brain perhaps the first keyword in developing memory is ‘association’. We remember something more easily if it is associated with something else. This is because the brain seems to organize itself by linking different ideas and images.

For example ,when you hear the word ‘CAT’ many different related words or images come to your mind’ like lion, tiger, whiskers, the mewing sound etc. Teaching and encouraging the skill of associating things in this manner would be a great asset in strengthening memory power. Get your child used to seeing the connections between things.

Another vital point is that the brain store information best, when the information is linked to different senses. Help the child develop the habit of ‘understanding’ a thing through more than one sense. For instance while eating an apple help him notice how beautiful its colour looks, how smooth it is to touch, what a distinct smell it has, etc.

Good concentration and observation is also vital for good memory. You could make an attempt to get your child used to looking carefully at things, and making strong mental pictures. We also remember well when we are emotionally involved. Therefore, it is vital to brain in elements of joy and delight while learning to develop positive associations. For example you could try to make up interesting stories while teaching new word to a child proper rhythm and music too are effective aids to develop good memory.

Developing Language Skills for Children

It is an enriching experience to watch how a child develops language skills, right from the first time he or she blabbers “Mama”. And you need not, and should not, remain a passive observer watching the fun. Parents and teachers should be an active role in making children adept at using language.

A little child starts to use language creatively and purposefully before the age of four. Ask them questions, making them think and responds. Children of this age also start to develop a sense of humour. It may not make much sense to the elders, as humor at this stage is mostly laughing aloud after saying something out of context. Just go along with your child, and feel happy to know that he or she is showing an ability to go beyond a literal understanding of spoken word.

After four, a child starts to use language in a more active way. At this age, he or she is more intent in expressing a point of view rather than to listen to others. Let the child have his or her ways, and listen patiently.Later, tell the child that you have listened and that now it is his or her turn to listen.

You need to see that children pick up the social use a language by the time they reach five. Now, language for them is an elementary tool for learing.Children of this age are often shy to meet or mingle with children they don’t know well. This results in their not knowing what to say when they meet people. Help them to get around this by teaching them some opening sentence like “Come, let us play with my Ball!”

Encourage children to feel confident about asking questions. This is crucial not only to acquire knowledge at school, but also for personal reasons. Some children even fail to locate the toilet during their first days in school because they don’t have the courage to ask the teacher. One way to help them may be to make them ask for things at home, instead of giving them everything in advance, anticipating every need. You could also make the child ask the local shopkeeper politely for things that you need to buy.

Dear all,Whether we like it or not we need to study for better life to enjoy in the future and to sustain ourselves on our own in the latter days to come. Though we hate, we cannot run away from it, instead realize that it is good to study for having good future.

Some do not even know the basics of studying. Here are some tips and tricks to study better.

  • Study in a quiet and well-lit place. It is essential to alienate yourself from others, until you complete your task. Tell them politely that you are working and ask them to allow you to study for awhile. Meet them later and have fun to relax for a while.
  • It is very important not to lie down on a couch or bed to study. Study sitting erect at a desk or table. Take a break if you need it.
  • Find out the best part of the day to study. Some are alert in the early mornings; others are good late at night.
  • Just after the classes review the days notes. You will be able to sort out the problems when it is fresh in your mind. As a result, you can avoid cramming.
  • Plan few hours of a study for every day and stick on to it.

  • Gift yourself. If you happen to study successfully for certain period of time compliment yourself with an ice cream, movie or go out with friends.
  • Take short breaks if you require. Research shows people can concentrate only for about 30 minute, after which there is decline in the concentration. Take a short walk if you had hit that point of lapse in concentration. Within 5 minutes take a drink and again get back to work.
  • If you are capable to answer questions and explain concepts to others, you will become clearer. Otherwise you will start to realize what is the need to study more.
  • When you are working with others be a little more cautious. Some members are prone to distract others. You should be cautious in choosing with whom you work.
  • Work alone to master concepts and information. Work with others to test your true understanding.

Parents Role In Final Exam Preparation

At the end of every academic year, most schools would be preparing for their final examinations. It happens to be the due responsibility of the parents and guardians to support the Child in every aspect of this preparation.

We parents should know that examinations are a time of great stress and especially the difficulty in preparation. One basic thing that a parent can do is to make themselves available to the child, particularly during these days. Sometimes it is true that although we do want to be with the child but due to practical reasons of work or personal commitment it becomes impossible. Taking some time off and being with child during these stressful time would surely help the child and might as well help the parents too. With some real help from the side of the parents greater things can be achieved.

The situation in which the child has to study is of a great concern. The parents should play an important role in providing quiet and clean ambience to study. In case this was not possible during the other part of the year, the parents should provide this ambience at least during the times of exam. It would be difficult for anyone for that matter to prepare in a disturbing environment. Students doing their higher studies prefer to study in a quiet environment.

Some parents may not be equipped to enough to guide their child; they can identify a reliable and good tutor who can assist the child. The best option is to find a close friend or relative who can be of assistance to the child. The underlying idea is to get the right kind of specific help with minimal payment. Some times the close friends or relatives are more sincere and reliable in tutoring your child to success than a stranger. This doesnt mean that professional tutors are not essential. They are, but a child may learn best with someone they know.

Even if the child fails to succeed in an examination, it should have the assurance of being accepted and loved. After all every thing is done to help the child to be success in life. In spite of all the facilities and efforts if the child has not come to your expectations yet, the parents and guardians need to honestly reassure the child that all is not lost and they can still succeed in life and are loved by family and friends. It is practical to get disappointment, especially after a lot of time, efforts and money are invested both by parents and kids.

Some children under exam pressure are prone to make mistakes that can result in failure and consequently disappointment. In such situations, parents should restrain themselves from aggressive anger and abuse (verbal or physical) of the child. Another chance is always possible for the child to correct his / her mistakes and succeeds. Hence, parents and guardians need to remember this and continue to show their love and acceptance in times of disappointments too. This can be crucial to a childs long-term productive development.

Hence parents and guardians should remember that final exams and can be a time of great stress in the lives of kids. Every form of assistance would be needed from all those who are associated with a child development especially at this juncture.

The above all we should never forget to show our children that they are still loved and appreciated, even if and when they do not succeed.

Motivation Is the Key To Success

If you want your child to give off his best, in studies as well as in life, he needs to have high self-esteem. And it is primarily at home that a child’s self-esteem grows and develops. Motivation is the magic word to develop self-esteem. At the same time, it is an often misunderstood word too.

Motivation is not just about praising the child every time he succeeds in something. In fact, a child’s motivation to learn is not much affected by success and failure. The reactions of parents and teachers are much more important. Many parents and teachers do not properly understand that praising success only breeds dependence, and consequent fears of not pleasing. What elders should encourage in a child’s effort to master an activity. What counts is the effort to do something, not what the child has activated.

Just imagine a little one making his first attempt to button up his shirt himself. He proudly shows his dad what he has done. His dad takes one look and says “hey how careless – you have done it all wrong! Put the buttons in the right holes!”Obviously the child would feel put down. The parent here has obviously failed to see that child’s effort itself was an achievement. The parent should have encouraged him on his initiative and effort, and then showed him the right way to do it. If such critical reactions become a regular feature at home, the child may get anxious while doing anything.

Making unrealistic demands of perfection is bad; obviously.Equally bad is making no demands at all. This would also lead to low self –esteem for a child. What a wise parent should know is that there is an optimum pressure to be put on the child enough to give him the thrill of challenge, but not so much to make them feel anxious or distressed.

Our age is one of the inglorious uncertain, of stress, of urban hazards. The genie of hospitalization is always lurking round the corner. The result can be huge gaping hole in your pocket due to the medical bills. The simplest way to curb your mounting expenses is to keep a comprehensive health plan ready for emergencies. This is also by far the surest way to save. And the first step to this sure shot money saver is to be an intelligent and informed patient.

When you fall ill, here are ten things you need to take care of besides your health.

1. IF ILL DON’T PANIC :
Most diseases are viral strikes, cured in 2 – 3 weeks. Visit a qualified doctor; follow his prescription; and do not discontinue the course midway just because you feel all right, or the medication leaves you drowsy. If in doubt, you can always get a second or even a third opinion but do not deviate form of discontinue your prescription on your own.

2. DON’ KEEP MUM :
Even if your doctor seems to get irritated with queries, do not give up .Ask questions make sure all the procedures advised are actually necessary.

3. GET HEALTH INSURANCE :
This is mandatory for saving money on medical bills, especially in case of hospitalization. An insurance cover plays a major role in providing you tension free treatment relieving your burdern. However, you have to choose your cover prudently. Most insurers now offer a cashless claim facility, which means that a medi claim policy holder will not have to run around paying hospital bills and then getting them reimbursed later. However this facility can usually arrived only at hospitals covered under the network. So check that hospitals in your area are listed. Look for extras such as ambulance facilities and periodical checkups at no extra cost.

4. REQUEST A GENERIC DRUG :
Whenever you get a prescription, ask your doctor for a generic option. A generic drug is usually cheaper than the brand name drugs, but needn’t be inferior. In fact, they are bioequivalent-that is, they act on the body exactly same way; are comparable in terms of dosage, safety and strength; and are hence equally effective. This can be a huge money saver. To take common instance, a generic paracetamol costs lower amount whereas the branded formulations can costs up to Rs 15 each.

5. AVOID BEING OVERCHARGED :
Hospital bills often run into Lakhs. So check it over well – there have been cases where patients have been over charged. If in doubt, consult your attending doctor. If you then feel you were overcharged, report it to the medical suprintendt. In most cases, the doctor or the hospital is happy to rectify the error.

6. BEWARE OF DUPLICATE TESTS :
Always ask the doctor the kind and frequency of blood tests-rays and CT scans called for until you’re absolutely convinced they are necessary. Most people save all their old test reports but don’t keep them properly filed. Other than saving you the money on re-test, the habit of maintaining your medical records on file could go a long way in helping your doctor arrive at a firm diagnosis a history helps him ascertain the best course of treatment.

7. STAY HOME ON WEEK ENDS :
If your aliment does not amount to emergency, avoid getting hospitalized over the weekend. Reason? Well, most of the doctors are off on their weekends, and you needn’t risk being in the hands of a junior doctor unless it’s unavoidable.

8. DON’T HESITATE TO DISCUSS YOUR MONEY SITUATION :
Don’t shy away from discussing any financial constrains you may have with your doctor. Most doctors are happy to provide viable alternatives that can help you manage your bills.

9. KEEP EMERGENCY NUMBERS OF NEARBY HOSPITALS AT HAND :
And if you are a chronic patients, always identify an alternative doctor for emergencies in case of your regular or family physician unavailable.

10. GET REGULAR CHECK-UPS AT A HOSPITAL FOR NOMINAL FEES :
Most healthcare institutes now lean to preventive care. So, according to your need, go for the executive packages offered in hospitals. They are much cheaper than going for a set of separate tests at a laboratory. Keep your reports in a file, so that in case of hospitalization, there is no need to undergo a whole battery of tests.

How To Prepare For Final Exams ?

The final exam makes anyone apprehensive. If you aren’t prepared, it would be so disgusting sitting in the examination hall pondering over the question and its relative subject materials and the flush to get any possible clue from any sort source would run from one end of the brain to all quarters. This happens to many people. The brain just shuts down and you begin to panic. The final exam can cause insomnia. But the thumb rule is that, you should sleep, instead of dumping all the possible things in one single night into the tiny, versatile brain.

Here are tips to help you prepare and face your final exam.

  • Start preparing a week before the actual date of the final exam. To face your final exam confidently, you must spend several hours studying but not the previous night before the exams. But, we fail to do it most of the times. Instead, spending an hour each night for a week before the final exam, you will be able to slowly absorb and retain most of the information.
  • Reading bulk of material the week before the final exam would turn futile. Reading everyday is appropriate means take in information on a steady basis. If you try to read all that material in one week it is going to be too demanding and is considered as a faulty approach.
  • It is obligatory to memorize important things. If you pay attention in class your instructor is likely to mention few pieces of information and its significance for the final exams. Jot down these and memorize. While reading the text, highlight anything that you feel is important. The final exam will happen to appear like any other midterm exam to you.
  • Reflect on your midterm exams. Recollect the pattern of question paper. Most instructors use the same layout for the final exam. If you know that the test was a fill in the blank type test, you'll know to memorize important dates, names, and vocabulary words. If the layout is multiple choices you should study important facts.
  • If you listen to your instructor, he would be revealing the most of the things about the final exam. The instructor may give some finer points, they may tell you the layout of the final exam, and they may even give you a study sheet of the questions that will be asked.

  • After you have taken down important facts, names, vocabulary words, pieces of information your instructor gave you, and anything you highlighted in your textbook you should make a study sheet of this material. This will make it much easier for you to study for and get through your final exam.
  • You can also ask someone to quiz you. After completing your study, ask your friend or family member to ask questions. Ask them to highlight the unanswered questions, so that you work on it.
  • Quiz yourself. This may sound funny, but it works wonders. Take the information you didn't know and write it down on a piece of paper. This will allow you to quiz yourself and see if you have memorized the information.
  • Exchange views with your instructor. If your class instructor hasn't given your class any idea of what will be on the final exam, just ask. Your instructor might be willing to tell you the layout, what to study, etc.
  • Have the dates of exams written down. Nothing is worse than walking into class and finding out that today is the final exam. You may be bright and studious, but still not completely ready.

This information would help you to face your final exam and equip to prepare for your exams. These tips should help you to succeed through your final exam.

Teach Children About Value Of Money

Taking children out shopping can often turn out to be a nightmare, because they seem to want everything they see! The reason for this is simple they think their dad’s money never ends. It may be fun to watch a toddler points his little fingers at things, asking you to buy them.Yet, as children grow up, it is important to give them a more realistic picture about money, and your family’s finances.

Of course, this does not mean that you should overburden your little one with all the details of your income and family budgets. This will only confuse the child. How can you take the first steps in developing a sense of financial responsibility in your child, without sounding too fussy about it ?

Here are some tips :

A good way to start is to give an understanding of how money works. Use everyday opportunities to point out how money is used. For instance, when you are out shopping with your child, show him how you compare prices of different things before making a purchase.try to talk about why you make a particular choice, weighing the cost against the thing’s real use. Let your child understand that you are making your choices based an ‘needs, ‘rather than fancy ‘wants’. You could also let your child actually hand over the cash when you are making some payments to the newspapaereman, or the dhobi, for instance.

The child would then become aware of how money is exchanged in return for things, as well as services. All this should be done in a casual, playful way. Gradually, your child is sure to understand the idea of money, and also that there are limits to its spending.

It is also never too early to teach your child about saving money. But your child a piggy bank, and give him a few coins to put into it. Money received as gift at festivals, on birthday’s etc.can be added to the piggy bank. Explain to your child that when the piggy is full, he can use the money in it to buy whatever he likes!

Top Ten Safety Tips For Kids Keep In Mind

A great think about kids is their natural trust in people, especially in adults. It’s sometimes hard for parents to teach children to balance this trust with caution. But kids today need to know common-sense rules that can help keep them safe – and build the self-confidence they need to handle emergencies.

Here are Top Ten Safety Tips For Child

  • I know my full name, my parent's names, and our address and phone number. I know when and how to use child Help line. I know I can dial that from a pay phone without any money.
  • I never put my name on my clothes, jewelry, caps or belongings where people can see it.I tell my parents about things that happen to me that make me feel scared, uncomfortable or sad.
  • I know the difference between a good secret and a bad secret. A good secret is fun to keep, like a surprise party. A bad secret feels bad to keep, and telling my parents about it doesn't make me a “tattle tale.”
  • I know that a stranger is anyone I don’t know well. Even people I recognize - like the mailman or ice cream truck driver - are strangers, and that someone can be a stranger even if they look nice or know my name. I never tell strangers my name or where I live.
  • When I walk down the street, I always face traffic so that I can see if someone stops their car near me. I never take short cuts through deserted areas like creeks or vacant lots.
  • I know that yelling and running are better safety ideas than trying to hide. If a stranger approaches me, I will YELL “No,” RUN to where there are safe adults, and TELL an adult.

  • I know to stay a safe distance (approximately three arm-lengths) away from strangers and stranger’s cars, even if a stranger seems nice. I know to run in the direction opposite from the direction the stranger’s car is traveling.
  • It is okay to yell and fight; anything to get the stranger to let go. Yelling is the most important thing I can do, and to yell, “No!” “Help!” or “Fire!” to get an adult’s attention.
  • I keep all the doors and windows locked when I am home alone, and to go to a neighbor and call child helpline, if a window is broken or if the door is open when I get home. I know how to call my parents or a neighbor if I get frightened when I’m home alone. I answer the door by asking, “Who is it?” It is someone my parents told me to expect and let in. When I am alone, I always talk through the door and say, “My parents are busy now, I’ll tell them you stopped by.” If the person does not leave, I know to call “Child Helpline Number”
  • I never say that I am alone when a stranger calls. I let the answering machine screen calls or say, “Mom/Dad can’t come to the phone now, can I take a message?” If someone is making strange noises, saying scary things, or not saying anything, I will hang up the phone. I know never to give my last name, address, or phone number to a person on the Internet, and that it is never safe to meet Internet friends in person without my parent’s supervision and consent.

Its time to reflect on that studies is required to keep your life going even after your good young days are over. When in college, there is always something better to do than study, but make sure to do the appropriate thing. If you choose fun over study time, surely you are likely to face some tough times when you ponder that few more hours and little more effort in studies would have certainly taken you to a place what just would seem to be dream latter.

Study schedule:
After getting syllabus for each subject, you should start planning your quarter or semesters. Planning may help you stay on track. With a good scheduling and proper execution definitely you don’t need to burn the mid-night oil. Scheduling allows you to spread out the work uniformly, avoiding needless tension, thus helping you to feel more relaxed. When writing down your schedule, try to make it realistic as well as challenging. Make note of important days like when papers and projects are supposed to be submitted and when you have semester exams and finals.

Execute the schedule:
It’s excellent to make a study schedule, but the next step is sticking on to it. Staying committed to your plan will probably help you to be more successful as well as reduce your stress level. When planning your schedule, you should allow a little time for unexpected life events. You never know when a birthday party or an unexpected late night movie would come your way. If you need to accommodate these unscheduled events, it shouldn’t interfere too much with your plan. Breaking-off too often from your schedule will leave you behind and overwhelmed.

Select a good place to study:

Identifying a good study spot is as essential as making a study schedule. Some students prefer reading out in places like lawns, parks, corridors and playgrounds. Some prefer the library because they have access to a variety of materials; most important point is the silence. Many libraries offer group study rooms, several desks, and common rooms, but some are able to offer only very minimal facilities like a common place where everyone reads. Finally, it is up to you to decide your suitable place to study. Regardless of what place you choose, make sure you feel comfortable and can concentrate. The ultimate think is that to use your time to the best of its availability.

Here are some study tips:
  • Distraction is the biggest devil, which needs to be avoided at all costs. It will interrupt your ability to retain information very badly. Through some regular systematic practice of yoga exercises it can be avoided.
  • Every effort towards study and work must come out with willingness, not with compulsion.
  • Learn to use highlighters to emphasize certain points for easier reference later on.
  • As you read new material take some notes for future references. Additionally, this will help you retain what you read.
  • Don’t write down everything your professor says. Only make a note of the important points.
  • Ensure to review your notes immediately after a lecture. You are likely to remember everything you've listened only for short span of time.
  • Prioritize what you need to study, and get the most important work out of the way first.
  • Space your study with some breaks every now and then. A five to ten minute refresher every hour will help you work better.
